	Pilates
	WCAC is currently the only club in Medina County offering comprehensive Pilates instruction. Our newly remodeled studio includes two reformer 1/2 Cadillac's from Balanced Body, as well as two Pilates chairs, and other small pieces of equipment.

	What is Pilates?
	Pilates was created about a century ago by Joseph H. Pilates, a German athlete. He referred to it as "contrology - gaining mastery of the mind over complete control of the body." The goal is perfection of flowing movement in coordination with breath. You will improve strength, coordination, balance, and posture while learning to move most efficiently. This unique method of exercise has a mat component; often integrating small pieces of equipment such as thera-bands, balls, rings, or towels, but traditional Pilates also includes several large pieces of equipment. Your membership includes mat classes, but like personal training, there is a fee for equipment instruction. Both private and semi-private instruction is available.

About the Instructor...

Anne Bruno is certified by the Pilates Method Alliance and is a graduate of Core Dynamics Pilates, a comprehensive training program based on the teachings of Eve Gentry. She is an ACE Certified Fitness Instructor, Teacher's Grade V Cecchetti (Professional Level I Ballet) certified, and holds a B.S. in Nursing from the Ohio State University (GO BUCKS!). She has been teaching dance and fitness for over 20 years.
